We strongly believe it's everyone's responsibility

We strongly believe it's everyone's responsibility to do what we can to create a fair and livable society for everyone. We value "wokeness" as the kids (or people who are being shady) say.

But that doesn't mean it's all sunshine and roses. The fight for equality doesn't always feel great. Sometimes it feels like a burden - and it's okay to acknowledge that.

We live in a world that can steal a lot from us. Do your best to fight that.

"I didn't tell you because I thought it would hurt

"I didn't tell you because I thought it would hurt you"

"I said no because I figured you wouldn't want to go"

"I chose option A because I assumed you would hate option B"

All of these might seem like nice gestures, but they're often just you making someone else's decision for them - usually to save yourself some discomfort.

Can you reject a sandwich with mayo on behalf of your BFF when you know they hate mayo? Yeah, probably.

Should you be making bigger decisions for your significant other based on how you think they'll feel? Nope please don't.

When in doubt, ASK. Check in. "I thought you might want x given y, but I just wanted to make sure".
